Aurora 1030D TOCAnalyzer

Aurora 1030D is a dual function TOC analyzer that can perform both high-temperature combustion TOC analysis and persulfate oxidation TOC analysis on the same instrument.

Heating persulfate wet oxidation method

Almost all organic compounds dissolved in water can be oxidized by sodium persulfate. In wet operation mode, when measuring the next sample, the reaction tank will be thoroughly cleaned to thoroughly remove any residue from the previous sample, ensuring high-sensitivity TOC measurement.

High-temperature combustion method

The high-temperature catalytic combustion method (680 ℃) is highly effective for analyzing samples with concentrations greater than 500ppb, containing high molecular weight substances, and difficult to oxidize. The 1030D TOC analyzer adopts a dual reaction chamber design, with the first reaction chamber containing a quartz bed to protect the platinum catalyst in the second reaction chamber from non combustible components. This design extends the service life of the catalyst, ensures continuous oxidation ability, and thus reduces maintenance costs.

Supporting automatic sampler

The 1088 rotary automatic sampler is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the Aurora 1030 TOC instrument to achieve fully automated and unattended sample analysis processes. It can be placed completely under the TOC instrument, saving space. The sampler has a stirring function to ensure the uniformity of the sample and more accurate analysis results. Through software control, it is possible to perform sample pre acidification and blow off IC function, which accelerates the analysis speed. Sealed sample bottles can be used to ensure that the sample does not adsorb carbon dioxide from the air and cause concentration changes. There are up to 88 sample bottles available, which can meet the requirements for analyzing a large number of samples.

Aurora 1030C TOCAnalyzer

The Aurora 1030C high-temperature TOC analyzer is used to analyze total carbon (TC), total inorganic carbon (TIC), total organic carbon (TOC), non blowable organic carbon (NPOC), and blowable organic carbon (POC) in liquid samples. The introduction of an independent loop system and EPC electronic pressure control system can ensure highly reproducible analysis results over a wide concentration range. The reactor design used in the 1030C TOC analyzer avoids catalyst poisoning and contamination, extending the lifespan and efficiency of the catalyst.

1030C's rigorously certified dual package enhanced combustion technology ensures temperature stability and can analyze samples containing up to 30000 ppm C. The combustion temperature can be adjusted freely between 680-950 ℃, and platinum catalyst filling material is not required for analysis at 900 ℃. Samples containing high carbonate content can be analyzed; The use of platinum catalyst filling material at 680 ℃ is an ideal method for analyzing samples containing high concentrations of total dissolved solids. The high oxidation efficiency, combined with the high selectivity of non dispersive infrared (NDIR) detectors and a linear range of up to 250ugC, make 1030C an ideal combustion analysis instrument for high concentration TOC analysis.

Operating principle

Aurora 1030C adopts a multi-step analysis technique to distinguish and quantify different forms of carbon in the sample matrix and detect the concentration of TOC. The TOC value reported is the concentration of non blowable organic carbon (NPOC).

The concentration of TIC can be determined by acidifying the sample to a pH value less than 2. The carbonate and bicarbonate ions in the sample decompose into CO2, which is quantitatively detected by a non dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector and reported as mass and concentration values.

The sample without TIC was injected into the ACT II reaction chamber filled with platinum catalyst for high-temperature combustion (680 º C), and the organic matter was oxidized and converted into CO2, which was quantified by an NDIR detector. The TOC results were reported as mass and concentration values, respectively.

Aurora 1030C also supports other analysis methods, including TC TIC、 Differential subtraction method (TC-TIC) is used to detect TOC. The optional TNb analysis module can simultaneously perform total nitrogen detection.

Aurora 1030W TOCAnalyzer

The Aurora 1030W TOC analyzer uses the heated persulfate oxidation method to measure the level of organic pollution in water. Almost all organic compounds dissolved in water can be oxidized by sodium persulfate. A 1M or 1.5M solution of sodium persulfate can effectively oxidize colloids, macromolecules, and suspended solids.

The Aurora 1030W TOC analyzer can be programmed to analyze organic carbon samples as low as 10 ppb and as high as 30000 ppm. According to the method settings, up to 300 samples can be analyzed every 24 hours.

The reaction cell of Aurora 1030W TOC analyzer will be thoroughly cleaned when measuring samples to completely remove the residue of the previous sample and ensure high-sensitivity TOC measurement.
